January 2007[]
- January 5: Nvidia completes its acquisition of PortalPlayer.
- January 9: Apple co-founder Steve Jobs announces the first iPhone at Macworld Expo in San Francisco. Apple starts taking pre-orders of the 1st-generation Apple TV. Safari 3 is released. Apple Computer, Inc. officially changes its name to Apple Inc. because the company has diversified from computers to consumer electronics. Support for Microsoft Office v. X comes to an end after the release of its final software update.
- January 17: The first version of VirtualBox is released as an open source software package.
- January 30: The 2nd-generation iPod shuffle line is refreshed in 5 colors with 3rd-generation Apple earbuds. A demo version of Vortex is released for iPod users.
February 2007[]
- February 5: Apple Inc. and Apple Corps announce that they have resolved their legal issues.
March 2007[]
- March 13: Mac OS X 10.4.9 is released.
- March 21: The 1st-generation Apple TV ships with a 40 GB hard disk drive and Apple TV Software 1.0.
April 2007[]
- April 1: The first Apple retail store in Italy and continental Europe is opened in Rome.
- April 2: Apple and EMI offer songs without DRM technology from the iTunes Store. Soon other record labels would follow.
- April 4: The 1st-generation Mac Pro is updated to offer "Clovertown" Intel Xeon processors (MacPro2,1).
- April 15: Apple announces Motion 3 as part of the Final Cut Studio 2 suite at the NAB Show in Las Vegas.
- April 24: iQuiz for Click Wheel iPods is released through the iTunes Store.
May 2007[]
- May 31: The 1st-generation Apple TV is offered with a 160 GB hard disk drive.

June 2007[]
- June 5: The 1st-generation MacBook Pro is updated with the Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT.
- June 11-15: The 2007 Worldwide Developers Conference is held at Moscone West.
- June 20: Apple TV Software 1.1 and Mac OS X 10.4.10 (Tiger) are released.
- June 29: The first iPhone is released with iPhone OS, changing the phone industry.
July 2007[]
- July 7-8: The 2007 Worldwide Newton Conference is held in Tokyo, Japan.

- August 6: VMware Fusion is released for Mac OS X.

- September 5: Apple CEO Steve Jobs hosts a special event in which the 3rd-generation iPod nano, new colors for the 2nd-generation iPod shuffle, and the 6th-generation iPod (retroactively renamed the "iPod classic") are released. The 1st-generation iPod touch is also announced. The iPod Hi-Fi and the 4 GB version of the 1st-generation iPhone are discontinued.
- September 14: Apple releases the 1st-generation iPod touch. iPhone OS is updated to v1.1, which includes an app for the iTunes Store.
- September 22: Apple Mall of Georgia in Buford, Georgia is the 196th Apple retail store to be opened.
- September 25-29: Apple Expo 2007 is held in Paris, France, and is the last Apple Expo to feature an Apple booth.
October 2007[]
- October 17: Apple Remote Desktop 3.2 is released with support for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).
- October 26: Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard" is released to the public.
November 2007[]
- November 1: Daniel Cooperman joins Apple Inc. as its general counsel and secretary. The late 2007 MacBook is released.
- November 9: The first iPhone becomes available in Germany and the United Kingdom.
- November 14: Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger) is released.
- November 15: Mac OS X 10.5.1 (Leopard) is released.
- November 29: The first iPhone becomes available in France.

- December 25: Apple is issued a U.S. patent for MagSafe.
