- January 20: 45th U.S. president Donald Trump is inaugurated.
- January 23: macOS 10.12.3 (Sierra) and watchOS 3.1.3 are released.
- January 28: iTunes Radio stations, except Beats 1, begin limiting access only to Apple Music subscribers.
February 2017[]
- February 7: Hidden Folks is released for iOS.
- February 21: Apple Remote Desktop 3.9 is released for macOS.
March 2017[]
- March 10: The 32 GB version of the iPhone 6 is released.
- March 11: The Apple St. Johns Town Center retail store is re-opened in a larger location at the St. Johns Town Center mall.
- March 16: Lifeline is released for macOS.
- March 21: The 5th-generation iPad is announced. The iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 2 are discontinued.
- March 23: Construction Simulator 2 is released for iOS.

- April 15: The Pegasus front end for managing game collections is announced for macOS with an alpha release.

- May 15: macOS 10.12.5 (Sierra) is released.
June 2017[]
- June 5-9: The 2017 Worldwide Developers Conference is held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in California. Announcements during the keynote event include iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, tvOS 11, watchOS 4, the iMac Pro, the 1st-generation HomePod, and the 2nd-generation iPad Pro. The 1st-generation iPad Pro is discontinued.
- June 13: The 2nd-generation iPad Pro is released.
- June 14: PPKP is released for iOS through the Apple App Store.
- June 28: Apple announces that 32-bit software for macOS would no longer be supported “without compromise” after macOS High Sierra (10.13).
July 2017[]
- July 1: The first Apple retail store in Taiwan is opened.
- July 19: iOS 10.3.3, macOS 10.12.6 (Sierra), and watchOS 3.2.3 are released.
- July 27: Apple discontinues the iPod nano and iPod shuffle product lines.
