Animoji, also referred to as "Animated Memoji", are large animated emoji that are tracked to the motion of the user detected by TrueDepth cameras of certain Apple devices.
History[]
The first device to support Animoji was the iPhone X, released in 2017 running iOS 11.[1] In 2018, iOS 12 added support for Memoji, in which the Animoji could be customized to resemble the user or other characters.[2]
