Aperture from Apple Inc. was an all-in-one post production tool for digital still photos. it was one of the "pro apps" Apple developed.
Development
Aperture was developed by a small team led by Randy Ubillos, who was the engineer behind Final Cut Pro.[1]
Aperture's fast RAW workflow makes working with a camera's RAW files as easy as JPEG files. At its introduction on October 19, 2005, Rob Schoeben, Apple's vice president of Applications Marketing, stated that "Aperture is to professional photograhy what Final Cut Pro is to filmmaking."
Aperture was superseded by Photos, which also incorporated consumer-friendly features from iPhoto.
