The Apple A18 Pro is a 64-bit ARM-based system on a chip (SoC), designed by Apple and fabricated by TSMC for the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. It was announced in a special event on September 9, 2024.[1]

Features[]

The A18 Pro is manufactured by TSMC to Apple's design specifications. The die is fabricated through an enhanced 3 nm process (N3E). The 6-core CPU contains 4 high-performance cores that are faster than the ones in the Apple A17 Pro while using 20% less power. The 6 GPU cores are 20% faster than the A17 Pro with 2x faster hardware ray tracing. The 16-core Neural Engine is capable of 35 trillion operations per second.[1][2]
