Apple Books is Apple's replacement for its iBooks application and electronic book service. It was introduced as part of iOS 12 and macOS Mojave in 2018.^[1] This app allows users to purchase, download and read e-books.

New features[]

Apple Books adopts an updated design similar to the App Store from iOS 11. It also adds a new Reading Now tab, a gauge to show reading progress, and reading goals.^[1]
