The Apple Developer app was developed by Apple Inc. for members of its Apple Developer program.

Development history[]

The software was originally released for iPhone OS 3 on June 5, 2010 as the WWDC10 app as an official online guide for attendees of Apple's 2010 Worldwide Developers Conference.[1] On June 2, 2011, it was updated for attendees of WWDC 2011, with support for universal screen sizes on iPhones, iPod touches and iPads running iOS 4.2 or later.[2]

On November 18, 2019, version 8.0 was renamed to Apple Developer and allowed users to enroll in the Apple Developer program from directly within the app.[3] Apple TV support was also added.[4]

On June 15, 2020, a macOS version 8.2 was released prior to the start of WWDC 2020, which would be held online only due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]
