Apple Energy LLC is a subsidiary of Apple Inc. that was established to sell excess energy from its solar projects on the open market.[1]
History[]
The energy subsidiary was registered in June 2016 in the state of Delaware as a limited liability company, but operates from Cupertino, California. At the time, Apple was generating 93 percent of its own electricity to operate around the world.[2] By April 2018, Apple was globally operating on 100 percent renewable energy.[3]
