January 2000[]
The 2000 Macworld Conference & Expo was held January 5 to 8, 2000 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, where Steve Jobs announced that Apple had sold over 1,350,000 Macs during the previous quarter and that the iBook was the #1 best selling portable computer. He then presented iTools services and the new Aqua interface with Quartz graphics in Mac OS X. At the end of the keynote event, Jobs dropped "interim" from his CEO title to a standing ovation.[1]
May 2000[]

The 2000 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2000) was held May 15 to 19, 2000 at the San Jose Convention Center. During the keynote event on the opening day, updates to Mac OS X Developer Preview 4 included a modified dock and improved versions of the developer tools. The preview was released at the conference, with the commercial release pushed back to January 2001. Also, WebObjects was dropped in price to a flat fee of US$699.[2]
July 2000[]
On July 19, 2000, a keynote event was held at Macworld Expo New York, where Steve Jobs introduced the iMac DV Special Edition, the Power Mac G4 Cube and 3 new displays. Also, the new full-surface button optical mouse was introduced and given away to all attendees.[3]
September 2000[]
On September 13, 2000, a keynote event was held at the Apple Expo in Europe, where Steve Jobs introduced 4 new iMac G3 colors, dual-processor Power Mac G4 models with gigabit ethernet, and the new iBook SE. The Mac OS X Public Beta also became available.[4]
