Macworld 2003 San Francisco
The 2003 Macworld Conference & Expo was held January 6 to 10, 2003 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. During the keynote event on January 7, Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced that 68% of switchers to Macs were Windows users, that 51 Apple retail stores had been opened within 20 months, generating $148 million in the most recent quarter, and that 600,000 iPods shipped within the first 14 months. Software product announcements included the release of iSync 1.0, Final Cut Express, iLife (which includes iTunes, iPhoto 2. iMovie 3, and iDVD 3), the beta of Safari web browser. New hardware announcements included the 12 and 17-inch Aluminum PowerBook G4.[1]
April 2003[]
Steve Jobs introduces iTunes Music Store - Apple Special Event 2003
On April 28, 2003, Apple held a press conference at the Town Hall conference center in Cupertino where Steve Jobs introduced the 3rd generation iPod with 30-pin Dock connector, which also supports USB 2.0. New software and service announcements included the iTunes Music Store with individual songs for 99¢ each. Initial support was limited to Mac but Jobs pledged Windows support by the end of the year.[2]

WWDC 2003 - Steve Jobs introduces OS X Panther and the Power Mac G5

The 2003 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2003) was held June 23 to 27, 2003 at Moscone West in San Francisco. During the keynote event on the opening day, Steve Jobs demonstrated the Power Mac G5 and Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther". Product updates included the launch of Safari 1.0 (concluding its beta phase) and demonstrations of the iApps: iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD.[3]
October 2003[]
Steve Jobs introduces iTunes for Windows - Apple Special Event 2003
On October 16, 2003, Apple held a press conference at the Town Hall conference center in Cupertino where Steve Jobs introduced updates to the iTunes, such as support for audiobooks and Windows users. Bono, Dr. Dre, and Mick Jagger appeared remotely to provide live testimonials. Sarah McLachlan appeared in person to provide a live performance.[4]
