The Apple Watch Series 3 is a 3rd generation smartwatch of the Apple Watch lineup that was designed and produced by Apple. It was launched on September 12, 2017 alongside the iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X at Apple's annual September event in the Steve Jobs Theater. The watch succeeded the Apple Watch Series 2 and preceded the Series 4.

Features[]

The Series 3 came in two sizes like all the other models: a 38mm and a 42mm case size with matching band sizes for both. Cases were also available in stainless steel.

The Series 3 was the first Apple Watch to have cellular connectivity, which many customers wanted. This way, you could use your watch without your iPhone. The update also included the S3 chip, 768MB of RAM, and an altimeter.

Versions[]

Hermes[]

Apple has collaborated with Hermes Paris multiple times, and Hermes Apple Watches use Hermes leather bands and come with a Hermes orange sport band that is included in the box by default. For more about the Hermes edition, go to Apple Watch Hermes.

Nike+[]

A special edition Nike+ version of the Series 3 was made with added benefits such as a map of your run, special custom watch faces, some that represent various Nike products, the Nike+ Run Culb app built-in, and exclusive Nike bands.
