The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the second ruggedized smartwatch of the Apple Watch lineup designed by Apple Inc. It was announced during a special event on September 12, 2023, succeeding the original Apple Watch Ultra, and was released on the following September 22nd.[1]
New features[]
Along with existing features of the Apple Watch Series 9, the Ultra 2 includes a;; the features of the original Apple Watch Ultra and includes the new Apple S9 SiP (System in Package) which features a 4-core Neural Engine to handle new double-tap hand gesture detection and on-device Siri which does not require an internet connection. The 3000-nit Retina display is 50 brighter with the same 36-hour battery life with regular use, up to 72 hours in Low Power Mode.[2]
