William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton (born August 19, 1946) was the 42nd president of the United States from January 20, 1993 to January 20, 2001. His vice president, Albert Gore Jr., would later become a member of the Apple Board of Directors.

History with Apple[]

Clinton was president during the tenures of John Sculley, Michael Spindler, and Gil Amelio as the CEO of Apple Computer. Clinton became closely acquianted with Apple co-founder Steve Jobs while he was CEO of Pixar and became interim CEO of Apple during its near-bankruptcy. Jobs in turn provided advice to Clinton, ranging from handling scandals to potential administration appointments.[1]
