Bombich Software is a backup utility developer founded by Mike Bombich and his wife Sarah Lindsay Bombich. The company's main product is Carbon Copy Cloner for macOS.[1]
History
Mike Bombich first released Carbon Copy Cloner 1.0 on January 18, 2002 as a backup utility for Mac OS X (now macOS). Sarah managed the company and processed early shareware payments through PayPal. With the release of Mac OS X Lion in 2010, Mike was receiving 120 support inquiries a day for Carbon Copy Cloner. He then left his day job at Apple to focus on Carbon Copy Cloner as a commercial trialware application at Bombich Software.[2][3]
