Chrisann P. Brennan (born September 29, 1954) is an artist and author who had been an early employee of Apple Computer. She is the mother of Steve Jobs' first daughter Lisa Brennan-Jobs.[1]
Education[]
Brennan attended Homestead High School in Cupertino, where she met fellow student Steve Jobs during her junior year in 1972. In 1991, she received a B.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute.[1][2]

Chrisann joined Apple Computer in November 1977 as employee #23. She worked in the shipping department and also assembled Apple II computers with co-workers Mark Johnson and Robert Martinengo.[3][4] She took leave from Apple to give birth to Lisa Nicole Brennan (later Brennan-Jobs) on May 17, 1978.[1]
After Apple[]
In 1997, Brennan established Chrysanthemum Studio to focus on her painting and writing work.[2] In October 2013, her memoirs about her relationship with Jobs was published by St. Martin's Press under the title The Bite in the Apple.[5][6]
Media portrayals[]
Brennan was portrayed by Gema Zamprogna, Ahna O'Reilly, and Katherine Waterston in the film dramatizations Pirates of Silicon Valley, Jobs, and Steve Jobs, respectively.[7][8][9]
