Clips is a mobile video editing app developed by Apple and released for iOS through the App Store on April 6, 2017.[1][2][3] It is a free 64-bit app that initially required iOS 10.3 or later.[4] As of version 3.1.2, it requires iOS 15.0 or later. Apple describes it as an app for "making and sharing fun videos with text, effects, graphics, and more."[5]

Features[]

After launching the app, the user sees the view of the front-facing camera.[6] The app allows the user to create a new clip by tapping on a red record button,[7] or use photos or videos from the device's photo library.[8] Once a clip is recorded, it can be added to a project timeline shown at the bottom of the screen.[9] The user can share their project on social media platforms.[2][8] The user can also add filters and effects to the project.[7][10] "Live Titles" (available in several styles)[11] can also be created by dictating to the device.[11][12]
