Apple Eaton Centre is the second Apple retail store in Canada, opened in 2006 at the Toronto Eaton Centre.

History[]

The original Eaton Centre location was opened on May 6, 2006 with 42 employees as Apple's 144th retail store and is internally identified as R121.[1][2] The original 4,977 square foot space was renovated in 2008 and 2012. The original glass front was replaced by roll-up security grating to create a more open feel within the existing space.[3]

Relocation[]

In January 2019, Apple applied for a 10,680 square foot space within the same shopping mall that was previously occupied by Abercrombie & Fitch. The adjacent premises for Baby Gap and Scotch & Soda were also being vacated.[4] When the larger 14,000 square foot store was opened on December 14, 2019, it was at the time the largest Apple Store in Toronto.[5] The staff of 325 could speak 28 languages.[2]
