Final Fantasy IV, stylized as FINAL FANTASY IV, is a role-playing video game that was developed and published by Square Enix for iOS and iPadOS, as well as Android and Windows. It is the fourth main game in the Final Fantasy game series.

Releases[]

Final Fantasy IV was first released for the Nintendo Super Famicom in Japan on July 19, 1991. In the following November, a localized version was released in the United States for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System as "Final Fantasy II", causing some confusion regarding the ordering of the game series.[1]

A "3D Remake" was released for the Nintendo DS in Japan on December 20, 2007. That edition was ported and released for iOS on December 19, 2012.[2][3] A "Pixel Remaster" was released for iOS, iPadOS, and Windows on September 8, 2021.[4][5]

Apple Arcade version[]

A variant for Apple Arcade based on the 3D Remake was announced on November 13, 2024 and was released on the following December 9th under the title FINAL FANTASY IV (3D REMAKE)+.[6][7]
