FinePrint is a resolution enhancement technology developed by Apple Computer to improve the appearance of the edges of text and graphics printed by LaserWriter models.

History[]

FinePrint was introduced in October 1991 as a feature of the LaserWriter IIf and IIg. It adjusted individual dot sizes to simulate smoother edges produced by higher-resolution printers.[1][2]
