FingaMIDI is a free open source driver to allow iBooks and PowerBooks to use their ADB trackpad as a three-axis MIDI controller (x, y, and pressure / capacitance for z data).[1]

Development history[]

FingaMIDI was developed with openly available Darwin source code for ADB devices. However, new PowerBooks released on January 31, 2005 switched to USB trackpads using closed-source drivers, leading to the development of FingaMIDI being halted.

Release history[]

Software conflicts[]

FingaMIDI may interfere with the functionality of other ADB trackpad drivers, such as iScroll2.[2]
