George Herbert Walker Bush (June 12, 1924 – November 30, 2018) was the 41st President of the United States from January 20, 1989 to January 20, 1993. He previously served as the 47th vice president, from January 20, 1981 to January 20, 1989, under president Ronald Reagan. His son, George W. Bush, served as the 43rd President from January 20, 2001 to January 20, 2009.

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who was the CEO of NeXT and Pixar at the time, served as a member of a council on trade export policy under the George H. W. Bush administration in 1991. Jobs was also given Top Secret security clearance for his work at Pixar with the U.S. Department of Defense through July 1990.[1] Apple CEO at the time John Sculley attended a White House state dinner in May 1990.[2]
