The HomePod mini is a smart speaker system and digital assistant developed by Apple Inc. It was announced in a special event on October 13, 2020 alongside the iPhone 12 series. The HomePod mini will be available for pre-order on November 6 in space gray or white for US$99 and will ship on November 16, 2020.[1]

The HomePod mini is powered by an Apple S5 processor in a spherical form factor less than half the size of the original HomePod. The sound is generated by a single full-range driver (pointed downward) and dual passive radiators. An iPhone or iPad running iOS 14, iPadOS, or later is required to manage the device, which can also be used as an intercom with supported Apple devices. Audio can be streamed from Apple Music, Apple News, Apple podcasts, iTunes Music Store purchases, or AirPlay.[2][3]
