The 6th-generation iPad mini, also referred to as the iPad mini 6, is a small tablet computer that was announced by Apple in a special event on September 14, 2021.
Release[]
The 6th-generation iPad mini became available for pre-order on September 17, 2021, with the first units shipping on the following September 24th. However, by the September 18th, supply constraints forced ship dates of subsequent orders to be pushed back into mid-October.[1]
Features[]
This iPad mini was updated with a new external design that resembles a smaller version of the 4th generation iPad Air and includes a new ultra wide angle front camera that supports Center Stage.[2] Like the 4th-generation Air, it features Touch ID and stereo speakers. However, the volume buttons have been repositioned and it lacks a Smart Connector found on all other iPad models. The iPad mini 6 also includes an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display alon with support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.[3]
