The iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max is a high-end flagship smartphone of the iPhone 16 series released by Apple Inc. It was announced in a special event titled "It's Glowtime" on September 9, 2024. Pre-orders began on September 13 and became available in stores on September 20, 2024.[1] It's predecessor model is the iPhone 15 Pro.

The iPhone 16 Pro features the new Apple A18 Pro chip with support for Apple Intelligence, and a USB-C port to comply with the European Union regulations. Other features includes a lightweight titanium construction, and a new touch-sensitive Camera Control button. The button can be used to control a 48MP Fusion camera system, which incorporates a 48MP ultra-wide, 12MP 2x telephoto, and 12MP 5x telephoto lens, resulting in a 5x optical and 25x digital zoom range. It also supports macro and ProRAW photography. The front-facing 12MP TrueDepth camera with the Dynamic Island supports Face ID.
The new Always-On 6.3‑inch Super Retina XDR display supports adaptive refresh rates from 60 to 120Hz with ProMotion technology. The iPhone 16 Pro Max variant comes with a larger 6.9-inch version of the display, making it the largest iPhone Apple had ever made.[2][3] It's display are reinforced with a 2nd generation Ceramic Shield glass for drop resistance protection.
The iPhone 16 Pro lineup comes in four finishes: Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium.
