The iPhone 6S Plus is a plus-sized flagship smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It is the successor to the iPhone 6 Plus. Both iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus jointly serve as successors to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus of 2014, and are the predecessors to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus of 2016.

Description[]

The iPhone 6s Plus introduces a number of new hardware upgrades over the predecessor models, including 3D Touch, Taptic Engine, Apple A9 processor, 12MP main camera with optical image stabilization, second-generation Touch ID sensor, and improvements to LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity. [1]

This iPhone uses the Apple A9 chip with 2GB of RAM that is faster with improved graphics performance. When released, it was shipped with iOS 9, and can be updated to the latest version of iOS 15.8.3. The storage options for this iPhone includes 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. It's flash storage uses NVM Express for a faster read and write speed. [2]While using the same 1080p display from the iPhone 6 Plus, this iPhone introduces a new 3D Touch technology.

Its 12MP main camera brought the feature of recording 4K video at 30FPS with optical image stabilization. The smaller, non Plus iPhone 6s does not have optical image stabilization as this feature was only exclusive to the plus models until the iPhone 7 series. Its 5MP selfie camera can record in 720p.

To fix the bendgate issue from the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple strengthened the chassis on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to a new Aluminium 7000 series. All of the weak points were reinforced to prevent accidental bending from pressure. The new chassis makes this iPhone stronger then the predecessor models and can withstand pressure and drops. This iPhone introduces a new color, being Rose Gold.
