The Italian Republic (Italian: Repubblica Italiana), commonly known as Italy, is a country in Southern Europe and part of Western Europe. The capital and largest city is Rome.

The land area of Italy is 294,140 km2. As of 2020, the population is estimated to be 62,402,659, making it the 23rd most populous country in the world. [1]
Apple in Italy[]
The first Apple retail store in Italy (and continental Europe) was opened on April 1, 2007 at the RomaEst mall in Rome.[2] In early 2020, all 17 stores in Italy were temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 10 locations reopened on May 19th, but stores in Piedmont and Lombardy remain closed.[3]
