The following is a list of Apple Memory Modules and Memory Kits, official upgrades from Apple to increase the amount of RAM in their products.

History[]

Memory upgrades from Apple are known for being above average market pricing for 3rd-party memory, but are covered by AppleCare. Starting with the MacBook Air in 2008, Apple has begun directly soldering memory into their notebook computers at the factory, making their RAM configurations impractical to upgrade after purchase.[1] Starting in 2020 and 2021, Apple introduced Mac minis and iMacs that have RAM integrated with their Apple M1 processors, which are not designed to be user upgradeable.[2]
