The following is a list of iPod models, music players that were once the largest generator of revenue for Apple Computer.[1] After the introduction of the iPhone, only the iOS-based iPod touch has not yet been discontinued by Apple Inc.[2]
Product lines
- iPod classic, retroactively incorporating the original full-sized iPod line, marketed from to October 23, 2001 to September 9, 2014.[3]
- IPod mini, a smaller version, marketed from to January 6, 2004 to September 7, 2005.[4]
- iPod nano, an even smaller version, marketed from September 7, 2005 to July 27, 2017.[5]
- iPod shuffle, a tiny screen-less version, marketed from January 11, 2005 to July 27, 2017.[6]
iPod touch
