The 1st-generation MacBook Pro is the first portable laptop computer from the MacBook Pro line, designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. The original 15-inch model was introduced on January 10, 2006, by Steve Jobs at the Macworld Conference & Expo. The 17-inch model was introduced on April 24, 2006. It is the successor to the PowerBook G4.
