macOS 12.2 is an update to macOS 12 (Monterey) that was released on January 26, 2022 by Apple Inc.[1][2]
Development history[]
The first developer beta was seeded on December 16, 2021.[3] The second beta was released on January 11 and a release candidate (RC) was posted on January 20, 2022.[4][5] The update was intended to address scrolling issues in Safari on new MacBook Pro models with Apple M1 Pro or Max processors with 120 Hz displays.[6] The Apple Music application was also natively re-written in AppKit.[7] However, Universal Control was yet implemented and its projected release was delayed to Spring 2022.[8]
