macOS 12.4 (build 21F79) is an update to macOS 12 (Monterey) that was released on May 16, 2022 by Apple Inc.[1][2] Another build (21F2092) was released on June 16, 2022 to support new Macs with Apple M2 chips.[3]
Development history[]
The first developer beta was released on April 5, 2022.[4] As the Universal Control feature was being updated, the beta versions of macOS 12.4 required the corresponding betas of iOS 15.5, and would not work with macOS 12.3.x and iOS 15.4.x.[5] The second beta was released on April 19.[6][7] The third beta was released on April 26.[8] The fourth developer beta was released on May 3.[9] A release candidate was ready on May 12, 2022.[10]
