macOS 12.5 (build 21G72) is an update to macOS 12 (Monterey) that was released on July 20, 2022 by Apple Inc.[1]
Development history[]
The first developer beta (build 21G5027d) was released on May 18, 2022.[2] The public beta was released on the following day with no new features as yet disclosed by Apple.[3] The second, third, and fourth betas were released on May 31, June 14, and June 24, respectively. Each included an SDK with a release candidate (RC) of Xcode 13.4.[4][5][6] The fifth beta (build 21G5063a) was released on July 5 with Xcode 13.4.1.[7] A release candidate (build 21G69) of macOS 12.5 appeared on July 12, followed by a second release candidate (build 21G72) on July 18, 2022.[8][9]
