macOS 14.6 (build 23G80) is an update to macOS 14 (Sonoma) that was released on July 29, 2024 by Apple Inc.
Development history[]
The first developer beta (build 23G5052d) was released on June 17, 2024, followed by a second beta (build 23G5061b) on July 1st.[1][2] The third beta (build 23G5066c) was released on July 9th, followed by a fourth (build 23G5075b) on July 16th.[3][4]
A release candidate, which became the release build, was seeded on July 23, 2024.[5][6]
Features[]
This build added no new features to most Mac models, but allowed the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 chip to support up to two external displays while the laptop's lid is closed. It also included bug fixes and security updates to address various vulnerabilities.[7]
