Development history[]

In November 1999, its development stage was at Delta 10 (d10). Open Transport was in the process of being updated to version 2.5.3 and OpenGL was to be updated to version 1.1.3.[1] By December 1999, the feature set was frozen at Beta 2 and included updates for a new iMac model, code named "P7A".[2]

However, with the release of the PowerBook G3 "Pismo" with FireWire in February 2000, Apple had skipped directly to Mac OS 9.0.2.[3] This was immediately followed in March by Mac OS 9.0.3 for the revised iMac DV.[4] The "Minuet" development code name continued to be used at Apple through Mac OS 9.0.4.
