The Macintosh Quadra 605 was released by Apple Computer on October 21, 1993 as the entry level model of the Macintosh Quadra series, below the Quadra 610. Consumer and educational versions were released as the Performa 475 and LC 475.

Features[]

Like its LC and Performa counterparts, the Quadra 605 uses a 25 MHz Motorola 68LC040 processor without a floating-point unit (FPU). It has one 32-bit LC slot for expansion. 4 MB of RAM is soldered on the logic board; one 72-pin SIMM slot allows memory to be expanded up to 36 MB. Video memory can be upgraded through two VRAM slots, allowing support for up to 16-bit color at 832 x 624, or 8-bit color at 1152 x 870.

The Quadra 605 was discontinued on October 17, 1994. It and the Quadra 610 were superseded by the Power Macintosh 6100.
