Microsoft Word is a word processing application developed by Microsoft, available as a part of the Microsoft Office suite. Word is available for Mac and Windows operating systems for a flat fee, or a monthly subscription fee to Office 365. It is also available for free for iOS, iPadOS, and an online web browser-based version as part of Office Online. Apple's equivalent word processor is Pages.[1]

As of December 2021, the minimum requirements for the current respective versions are:[2]
- iOS 14.0 or later
- iPadOS 14.0 or later
- macOS 10.15 or later (the October 2021 build will work with macOS 10.14)
