Peter Oppenheimer (born 1963) was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Apple Inc.


Oppenheimer received a bachelors degree from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and an M.B.A. from the University of Santa Clara, both with honors.


Oppenheimer spent six years in information technology before joining ADP, where he eventually became CFO of one of its four strategic business units.


Oppenheimer joined Apple Computer in 1996, along with former ADP colleague Fred Anderson, who became Apple's CFO. Oppenheimer started as controller of Apple Americas and was promoted in 1997 to vice president and controller of Worldwide Sales and soon became corporate controller. On June 1, 2004, Oppenheimer became CFO of Apple when Anderson retired.[1]

Oppenheimer retired from Apple in 2014 and joined the board of directors of Goldman Sachs. He was was succeeded at Apple by Luca Maestri.
