Pippin was a consumer platform developed by Apple Computer that was used by Bandai to produce video game consoles.
Releases[]
The Pippin Atmark was released in Japan on March 28, 1996 and the Pippin @World was released in the United States December 1996. KMP 2000 consoles were released in Europe in 1997. All were direct faliures. The consoles were provided with dial-up internet access to bring networking to consumer televisions. It used CD-ROMs that ran on a modified version of Mac OS 7.5.2 called Pippin OS.
Games and media[]
Not many titles were released for the console. Most of the games that were ever made for the system were distributed by Bandai itself, with the majority being released in Japan. On the other hand, the console didn't feature just games. Other discs included internet browsers, email applications, and more.[1]
