Roger Rock Rosner is vice president of applications at Apple Inc.

Early life and education[]

Rosner received B.S. degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1987. He also served as an officer in the 7th Communications Group of the United States Air Force at The Pentagon from November 1988 to February 1991.[1][2][3]

Career[]

In August 1989, Rosner co-founded Lighthouse Design, where he was the project leader and principal architect of Concurrence, an early presentation application for NeXTSTEP that Steve Jobs was known to have used.[4] In March 1991, he co-founded Pangea Corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he became the director of engineering. Pangea was acquired by Surfing Gear in March 1998. In July 2000, Rosner co-founded Blue Fish Labs, where he served as CEO.[1][3]

Apple[]

In March 2001, Blue Fish Labs was acquired by Apple Computer, where he became a senior engineering manager. By 2004, he was the director of Apple's iWork software suite. In 2006, he became VP of productivity applications and he became VP of applications in September 2013.[1][3][5]

Rosner is a board member of Kehillah Jewish High School in Palo Alto, California.[6]
