Ronald Wilson Reagan (February 6, 1911 – June 5, 2004) was the 40th president of the United States from January 20, 1981 to January 20, 1989. His vice president, George H. W. Bush, would later become the 41st president.

Reagan was president at the time of the launch of the Macintosh and NeXT. On February 19, 1985, he personally awarded the first National Medal of Technology to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.[1]
