Shuriken, also informally referred to as "Shuriken Tiger" or "Mac OS X 10.4.12", is an unofficial build of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) that was released on December 1, 2022 to provide enhancements and optimizations for Macs still using older versions of Mac OS X due to hardware limitations or the need for backward compatibility, such as access to the Classic environment.[1]

Work on what would become Shuriken commenced after the release of Sorbet Leopard for users of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). The project was initially referred to as "Siberian Tiger" for users of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and involved similar optimizations and improvements as Sorbet Leopard.[2] This project would eventually evolve into Shuriken.[3]

- At least 256 MB RAM.

- Flash-based storage is suggested.
