"Sorbet Leopard" is the nickname of Mac OS X 10.5.9, an unofficial build of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) that was first released on October 31, 2021 to provide continued support solely for PowerPC Macs. It combines elements of Mac OS X 10.5.8 and the PowerPC beta of Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), while removing unneeded Intel binaries to streamline the system for improved PowerPC performance.

Requirements

- PowerPC G4 or G5 processor.
- At least 512 MB RAM.
- 20 GB or larger Apple Partition Map-formatted partition.
- Core Image-supported video card is strongly recommended.
- USB 2.0 interface is strongly recommended.
