The Steve Jobs Theater, named after Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, is an underground auditorium complex situated within Apple Park in Cupertino, California. Since its completion in 2017, it has served as a venue for many Apple Special Events, succeeding the role of the Town Hall conference center located at 4 Infinite Loop within the old Apple Campus.
Architecture[]
The above-ground entrance lobby is surrounded by glass walls which structurally support the floating roof. Conduits for fire sprinklers and power are hidden within the joints between glass sections. An underground lobby below it is adjacent to the auditorium itself and also serves as exhibit space.[1]
History[]
The theater was publicly opened for the first time for Apple's September 2017 Special Event.[1] The February 2018 annual shareholders meeting was the first to be held at the theater.[2]
