The StyleWriter EtherTalk Adapter II is a network device that was announced by Apple Computer on June 16, 1997. It was intended to have been manufactured by Farallon and released in August 1997 to add Ethernet support to Color StyleWriter models manufactured for Apple by Hewlett-Packard. However, it is not known to have been released before the entire StyleWriter product line was discontinued in 1998.[1][2]

Description[]

The device would have been based on Farallon's EtherMac iPrint Adapter LT, to bridge Ethernet to the LocalTalk ports of supported printers.[3] Farallon's version also supported LocalTalk-capable LaserWriter models.[4]
