tvOS 16 is a major version of the tvOS operating system that was developed by Apple for Apple TV consoles. It requires an Apple TV HD (4th generation) or later.

tvOS 16 is derived from iOS 16; both were announced on June 6 at the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference and were released on September 12, 2022.[2][3]
