The VESA Mount Adapter Kit for iMac and LED Cinema or Apple Thunderbolt Display is an adapter produced by Apple to allow various devices with LED displays to be used with 3rd-party Flat Display Mounting Interfaces standardized by VESA.

History[]

Starting in 2012, the VESA-standard mount became a $40 option which needed to be factory-installed on slim iMacs without built-in optical drives. Starting in 2021, the VESA option for the M1-based 24" iMac became available at no extra cost.[2][3][4]
