Worldwide Developers Conference 2001 (or WWDC 2001) was a computer conference that was hosted by Apple Computer for its developers at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. It was Apple's 12th annual Worldwide Developers Conference, held from May 21 to 25, 2001.

Mac OS X had just recently been released, but WWDC'01 added the first release of Mac OS X Server and WebObjects 5.
Attendance[]
Over 4,000 developers attended, and leather jackets with a large blue "X" embroidered on the back were distributed to attendees.
