WWDC 2025 — June 9 - Apple
Worldwide Developers Conference 2025 (or WWDC 2025 or WWDC25) is the 36th annual computer conference to be hosted by Apple Inc. for its developers, being held from June 9 to 13 in 2025.[1][2]

Apple CEO Tim Cook opened the keynote by highlighting the upcoming release of F1 from Apple Original Films. Senior VP of software engineering Craig Federighi then discussed the state of Apple Intelligence. VP of human interface Alan Dye then introduced the Liquid Glass UI design language. Federighi confirmed at all new operating systems would be renumbered to version 26 (such as iOS 26, iPadOS 26, tvOS 26, and watchOS 26). He also stated that macOS 26 would be named by the "crack marketing team" to macOS Tahoe. visionOS 26 added support for widgets.[3]

Background[]
Apple CEO Tim Cook has opened the keynote event at the conference since WWDC 2012.[4] Operating system announcements, such as new versions of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, are typically presented by Senior VP of Software Engineering Craig Federighi.[5] The new versions of all the operating systems were widely reported to be renumbered to version 26.[6]
Registration for the lottery to attend the 2025 keynote in person was held from March 25 to April 2.[2] Apple also holds annual scholarship events with the conference, such as the Swift Student Challenge.[7][8]
